Neurologist, Pain Management Doctor
A neurologist with an in-depth perspective on the treatment of chronic pain. Specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of various types of headaches. Acquired the specialty of a neurologist at Riga Stradiņš University, studying and working at the Clinic of Neurology and Neurosurgery of Riga East University Hospital, where also continue to work as an on-call neurologist, treating patients with various acute neurological diseases. My additional specialty is an algologist or pain doctor, who opens a broader view of the origin of pain, mechanisms and more appropriate treatment options. I advise patients with headaches, back pain, joint pain, cancer pain and other types of chronic pain. I help to draw up a treatment plan using a multimodal therapy approach in collaboration with various specialists.
I regularly complement my knowledge in the field of neurology, pain research, headaches and am happy to participate in public health education activities.
I like to look for and see the small pieces of the "puzzle", go into the smallest details to put together the big picture. As Zenta Mauriņa once said, "the greatest work of art is and remains a living person", I still continue to admire this work of art.
