A narcologist or addiction specialist is a doctor who helps a person to identify and discover the nature of unwanted habits, as well as helps to look for opportunities for a new way of life. A narcologist advises people with problems and addictions to alcohol, narcotic and psychotropic substances, tobacco, gambling and the excessive use of new technologies.

The very beginning of the treatment process is a person’s awareness that the use of addictive substances or processes has caused adverse consequences in his life – physical, mental and social health disorders:

  • social health disorders – deterioration of family relations, including collapse, employment relations disorders, financial difficulties, career or personal development disorders, isolation, criminal behavior
  • mental health disorders – mood swings, anxiety, restlessness, sleep disorders, difficulty concentrating, coordination and memory disorders, depression, suicidal ideation, degradation
  • organ disorders – heart disease, pancreatic disease, liver disease or hepatitis, HIV and trauma.

The beginning of treatment and the basis of its successful outcome is the dependent free will to be treated and to radically change your lifestyle!
